No. The analyzer has a built-in sensor for determine if the disc has expired. If the disc is beyond the expiration date, the analyzer will cancel the run and display a code error message.
2. What is the shelf life of the test reagent disc?
The shelf life of a test reogent disc is 12 months (see package for expiration dote).
Seamaty recommends that disc should be stored and rofrigeratod at 2-8° C (3A-46° F).

No. The discs are single-use, one disc is for one patient. They are considered a bio-hazard and should be disposed of in proper containers.
5. What types of samples can be used with the SD1?
Lithium-heparin whole blood, lithium-heparin plasma, or serum, do not use EDTA as an anti-coagulant.
6. What is the proper fubes for blood sample collection?
Seamaty offers enough FOC tubes (lithium heparin), pipette and pipette tips after your reagent disc order. Do not use EDTA tube.
